Installation and commissioning instructions for Gaobo radar (dual antenna radar)

1、 Dual wave radar electromagnetic wave distribution (top view)

X-axis horizontal antenna: The maximum width for human detection is approximately 2.2m.

Y-axis vertical antenna: The maximum effective trigger width is about 0.6m.

The anti smashing area can only be effectively detected during the anti smashing time.

4、 Radar indicator light function description

1. Red light constantly on: radar standby operation indicator.
2. Red light flashing: Radar malfunction prompt.
3. Green light constantly on: radar relay output status indication.
4. Green light flashing: radar automatically delays closing indication.

5、 Installation diagram

1. The non straight poles in this chapter are collectively referred to as fence type turnstiles.
2. For some fence poles with small electromagnetic reflection characteristics, such as flat advertising gates, the distance between the radar and the center of the gate pole can be appropriately reduced, but the minimum distance should not be less than 20CM.
3. The installation height is measured from the ground, including the installation island.

6、 Radar installation and usage specifications

1. Please prioritize using the DC12V output power supply of the brushless motor controller to power the radar. Require an output current of no less than 200mA.
2. When connecting an external power adapter, please choose a low-noise power supply with DC12V 0.5A or higher.
3. The optimal height for radar installation: The center of the radar should be 50-60cm above the ground. Special vehicles should consider installing radar 1-1.5 meters in front or behind the direction of passage, and the installation height can be appropriately increased to prevent missed detections.
4. The distance between the radar center and the fence pole: the distance between the center of flat advertisements and octagonal turnstiles shall not be less than 20cm, and the distance between the center of louvers, right angle turnstiles, and airborne turnstiles shall not be less than 25cm.
5. The radar installation should be perpendicular to the horizontal plane. And it is fixed and reliable.
6. The ground within the detection range should be flat and free of any obstacles; When the angle between the passing vehicle and the radar is greater than 30 degrees, please set up roadblocks to guide the vehicle to pass.

7、 Common problems and troubleshooting methods

1. When the radar Bluetooth is in a disconnected state, the radar will automatically turn off Bluetooth after 15 minutes. To reconnect, please power off and restart the radar.
2. The barrier type gate pole cannot be closed properly in place

Method 1: The anti smashing time is set too long. Please set the anti smashing time to be slightly less than the actual closing time (the closing time refers to the time from the start of the gate closing to the moment when the gate rod is close in place).

Method 2: If the center distance between the radar and the fence pole is less than the requirements in the installation specifications, please adjust the installation position again.

Method 3: Check the “distinction between people and vehicles” setting item, and adjust the sensitivity to a lower level for some fence type barriers with strong reflection characteristics.

3. When a vehicle passes through the radar and the gate is not closed, observe whether the radar has output. If the radar does not output, it is generally due to the radar not being activated after the vehicle passes through an angle that is too large. The sensitivity can be adjusted to a higher level in the human vehicle distinction setting, or the vehicle can be guided to pass through by setting roadblocks.
4. After the brake lever is lifted into place, the radar keeps outputting

Method 1: Check if the set detection distance is greater than the actual width of the channel, and modify the detection distance setting.

Method 2: Clear ground obstacles within the detection range. You can view the target list in the “Target” item through the mini program. Eliminate obstacles from the target position output by the radar.
